Update

2 weeks ago, Nya jumped off the chair in our living room and hit her mouth on the marble top of our coffee table. OUCH!! She chipped both of her front teeth, bled a lot, and had major bruising on her gums. The first thing I thought when I saw her chipped front teeth was that she was going to have to have the silver caps. I finally realized that the chips are not that noticeable and luckily the teeth are not loose so she will be fine.

1 1/2 weeks ago, I sprained my knee while running down the mountain at the end of an 8 mile hike. Amy was with me and she had to carry me on her back the last little bit. Luckily it was at the end. Knee is starting to get better, but it is hard to stay off of it. As a result, my house has not been very clean and it drives me crazy, but it is too hard to do the nitty gritty cleaning.

On Monday, Nya asked if she could spend the night at Sophia's house. I was shocked. She is so clingy that I never imagined she would ask to leave me. I said yes. Nya immediately asked me to get her suitcase so she could pack. Then she packed everything she needed. She is growing up. I was very excited, then I realized that she is only 2 and already asking to spend the night. However, we do have her cousins spend the night over here often. Just last weekend we had all the nieces and nephews spend the night. I am sure that is why she felt so comfortable.

Today, Nya did not want to take a nap even though she was tired. She got out of her bed to use the restroom. No big deal. Then I hear some banging noises and I assumed that she was playing in the water. I let her play for a little bit. Finally I went in to check on her. She had my cleaning caddy, that is kept in the Laundry Room, on the floor. The Windex was on the counter and she was shaking the Comet into the sink to clean it. She said she was cleaning the bathroom. Next to the toilet was the plunger and the toilet brush. I guess she already cleaned the toilet. She usually helps me clean so I did not get mad at her. She was very proud of herself.

Later today, Nya wanted some chocolate. I told her she could have some after her nap. When she woke up I retrieved a piece of a Hershey's bar for her to have. She asked for more and I told her one piece was enough. Next thing I knew Nya had a full Hershey's bar. She said that she got it by moving a chair to the counter. Since the candy was on the top shelf, she also had to climb on the counter. I did not know she was big enough to do that. Guess it is time to watch out for her.

Nya is a handfull indeed. She is so independant. Totally a first child is all I have to say. Her little pink bow outfit is darling. She is such a cutie. I wish I could have seen her in it when I came over to babysit tonight.
