Nya was setting up for a tea party. She placed some animal crackers on two plates and wanted to warm them up. (For some reason, Nya likes her food and drinks warm). I placed the plates in the microwave and set the timer for 10 seconds. When the timer went off, I took the plates out of the microwave. Nya thought that they were not warm enough. In the meantime, Katya and Cali came over to play. I was attending to them and chatting with Staci about what they needed while she was gone when I started to smell warm vanilla. By the time I got to the kitchen the smell was stronger and Nya was standing on the counter next to the microwave. The microwave was on and going with 96:38 left on the timer. I opened it up to find the animal crackers burning and very smokey. The house smelled for 2 days!!!

Man she burned those pretty good. It's kind of cool that it looks like there's smoke coming off them.
thank goodness for microwave, the old oven used to burn them to a crisp. what cute little girls. i love them so much.

That's a lot of time for animal crackers!!! You can do what my Mom used to do when she would try to salvage anything that was burnt and scrap off the burnt and hope there is something nice inside. There was but it still tasted burnt!! I swear the crazy Mom's and their tactics. I'm glad we are in the day and age were we just chuck them and get some more!
I could just see Nya trying to take care of the animal crakers by herself. It happens. Cute story and cute pictures.
