Manaus, Brazil

(Pictures to come)

We stayed at the all inclusive resort called EcoPark for four days. We were put in a group of people that spoke English so it was nice to understand everything that our guide and the others said. The resort was located on the Rio Negro, in the jungle.

Highlights:
The Rio Negro really is black. In fact it looks like coffee or Coco Cola.
I swam in the Rio Negro, my skin looked orange in the water.
I caught a piranha.
I held a wild three toed sloth.
We saw the merging of the waters where the black water meets the brown and becomes the Amazon River.
We walked through the jungle.
I swung on a vine like Tarzan (well, sort of).
We canoed through the flooded forest.
A slimy black frog jumped on my foot at night time and totally scared me.
We saw huge spiders and huge ants, iguanas, monkeys, lizards, birds.

Best highlight of all, I was able to experience all this with Dad, Ana, Andrea, and Jason.
