While Mommy is away...

While I was gone to Brazil, Matt, Grandma Patricia, and Natalie took Nya to get her ears pierced. Yes, I was upset. I really wanted to be there and I really wanted Nya to want it bad enough that she would be able to take care of her ears. But, what's done is done and at least Matt, Grandma Patricia and Natalie were there to witness it. At least, that is what I thought. Later Matt told me that he did not really see her get her ears pierced. Too bad. However, Nya looks adorable with her pink earings and she absolutely loves them. She spent several days looking at herself in the mirror. Nya did not tell me that she got her ears pierced when I got back from Brazil. I kept waiting and then I finally asked her if she got her ears pierced. She immediately got a huge smile and told me yes and that she loves her earings. When I asked her why she did not tell me, she said, "I thought you would be angry with me." Hmmmmmmm. What would make her think I would be angry???

Here is Nya with her first french braids and earings. No, she did not hold still. Yes, I did pull her hair and she was very tolerant.
