Nya and I were shopping at Costco. We decided to meander down the toy aisle. As we walked down one aisle, a costco employee was carrying a dollhouse. We watched as he set it down and noticed that there were no other dollhouses left. This was the LAST ONE. Nya said, "Quick mommy get the dollhouse. It is the last one. Hurry before somebody else steals it. Hurry mommy I really want it." Okay would you be able to resist those huge blue eyes, the cute little forehead scrunched up in worry that someone would steal the last dollhouse? Well, I couldn't. I was able to get a little discount off of the way too expensive dollhouse. At least it is heavy. Matt will have a blast assembling it Christmas Eve.
A few days later I was shopping at Smith's Marketplace. I saw a dollhouse with a huge sale sign on it. The original price was $99 and it was on sale for $39. I cringed as I noticed a much better price on something I had already overpaid for. As I got closer to inspect the dollhouse, I realized that there was a reason the sale price was so good. The dollhouse looked quite chinsey. I felt better about my purchase.
