I wanna be a ..... ROCKSTAR!!!!

Nya told me the other day that she wants to be a rockstar and a movie star. She loves to sing Hannah Montana songs, High School Musical songs, and the songs from Mama Mia. She loves Taylor Swift - Love Story, and Beyonce - All the Single Ladies. However, she refuses to sing primary songs or school songs. When she sings, she gets into it, shakes her hips, and has great expression. I told her that if she wants to be a rockstar then she also needs to sing the songs in primary and school to help develop her voice and help her become a great singer. Nya replied, "When I am a rockstar I will not sing those songs, so that is why I don't sing them." Nya also refuses to let me help her learn the song correctly, therefore her songs usually consist of the main chorus line repeated along with her own lyrics. Often her lyrics are eloborate enough to qualify as a major ballad.
