100 List

A few months ago everyone was writing "1oo things about me" lists. I enjoyed reading those so much that I decided that I would write one too. That way you can have a little break from the Nya stories.

Here it goes...

1. I am 29 years old.
2. My favorite color is and always has been blue.
3. I have always wanted to be a teacher.
4. I love being a teacher.
5. Once I accomplished my goal of becoming a teacher, I said, "Now What?"
6. Married to Matt, who is wonderful. (It's been 8 1/2 years)
7. I have a 2 year old girl, Nya.
8. Nya started to call me Mommy, then Mommy Bekah, and now Tia Bekah.
9. I love watching movies.
10. My favorite food is spaghetti (I seriously cannot get enough of it).
11. This year I took my dream vacation to Italy, Greece, Croatia, & Turkey.
12. I want to spend more time in Italy.
13. I loved the food in Italy.
14. Ice cream is the best dessert.
15. Thai food is also great.
16. I have 2 strands of grey hair.
17. When the grey hair is noticeable, I will start to color it.
18. I love to read.
19. I love to sing, but I am not good at it.
20. Cal State San Marcos is where I got my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies.
21. Cal State Northridge is where I got my CA teaching credential.
22. I also received a Master's Degree in Language and Literacy at CSUN.
23. Love living in Utah
24. Can do without the winter.
25. I started skiing.
26. I am not good, but I will keep trying.
27. I am a scaredy cat when it comes to trying something new (especially sports).
28. Matt got me to ride quads, and I actually enjoy it (but not as fast as him).
29. Matt doesn't like riding quads with me because I go too slow.
30. Now that Nya is getting older, we get to ride slow with her. YEAH.
31. My favorite TV channel is HGTV.
32. I don't watch very much TV.
33. I am getting addicted to blogs (but not as addicted as Andrea and Staci).
34. My next child will be adopted.
35. Most likely an infant from the U.S.
36. Scrapbooking is my current hobby.
37. I love all genres of music, but not all music in each genre.
38. I enjoy playing classical music on the piano, but I have to admit I only like to listen to fast pace tunes.
39. I could not remember how to spell pace (past, pass, pase...duh)
40. I was a great speller until I started teaching (It is from constantly looking at incorrect spelling, suddenly it begins to look normal).
41. My goal this year is to have a decent looking front yard. Wish me luck!
42. I do not know anything about gardening, this year I will learn something.
43. I started a business in 2005.
44. I had no knowledge of the oil & lube business, or what it takes to start a business, but started it anyway with some help.
45. I also learned bookkeeping and a lot about running a business.
46. My biggest fear was being able to pay the employees.
47. Everything turned out great! I hired someone to take my place and sold my shares after 11 months.
48. I am now a stay at home mom.
49. Procrastination is a problem when I do not have a deadline.
50. I am most productive when I am busy.
51. Someday I will get a chin job.
52. I have dark blue eyes and brown hair.
53. I seriously thought my body would go back to normal after having a baby; it didn't.
54. For some reason I get tons of free address labels in the mail.
55. I write checks on the computer and print them out. I love it, it is so much easier paying bills that way.
56. I do not really like to cook, but enjoy eating a home cooked meal.
57. When Matt and I lived in LA, we ate out 6 days a week.
58. I do not mind cleaning, but I despise cleaning up other peoples messes.
59. I have a black lab named Daisy.
60. Daisy is an escape artist, we look for her often. But, she always comes home.
61. I loved being a teenager.
62. I loved being a kid.
63. I like to buy clothes for Nya, but she is picky and refuses to wear the "cutest" clothes.
64. I actually enjoy helping my nieces and nephews with their homework (probably because it doesn't happen very often).
65. We bought a house a little over 2 years ago.
66. We bought a house that was remodeled so we wouldn't have to do it. We remodeled anyway.
67. I love to hike.
68. I want to hike on a regular basis.
69. Matt and I plan to take one vacation each year.
70. We like to take small weekend trips (mostly revolving around Matt's business trips).
71. I always read the instructions first.
72. My current favorite TV show is Las Vegas.
73. Although, I have no clue when it is on.
74. I always cry during Extreme Makeover Home Edition.
75. Sometimes I laugh so hard, no sound or air comes out, and I just shake, then start to cry.
76. Amy does it too, we have had problems with that during church numerous times. You know, at times when you are not suppose to laugh and be disruptive, but you can't help it.
77. Oh, I also love watching Ellen, she is super funny.
78. I will never forget when my dad and I got locked in the pig farm. It was scary.
79. I have been in 1 auto accident. It was also scary, but we weren't hurt.
80. Matt rear ended someone on the freeway, it wasn't bad, but the guy he hit didn't even stop. We were lucky and we thought it was funny.
81. I use to suck my thumb (until I was 11). It was quite comforting.
82. Fresh popped popcorn with real butter is my favorite snack.
82. Caramel popcorn is another of my all time favorite treats.
83. I just (like in the last year) realized that popcorn really doesn't pop on the apricot tree. Seriously, I was always confused. Last year I finally heard a part of the song that I had always just sung and not listened to, "it wasn't really so, but it seemed to be."
84. When I was about 16 or 17, I finally figured out what "Ped Xing" was. Well I always knew that it meant there were people at the crosswalk, but then I realized that it was an abbreviation for "Pedestrians Crossing." I even was confused about how to pronounce xing.
85. Okay by now you must think I am a little bit dumb, but I really am not.
86. I am not good at fixing Nya's hair. I hope I will get better someday soon.
87. I got a passport 7 years ago, and used it for the first time this year.
88. My sisters and I use to play little house on the prairie. Andrea was Mary, Amy was Laura, and I was Carrie. The personalities were actually quite close.
89. I like to sleep an uninterrupted 9 - 10 hours at night. That rarely happens.
90. This is really hard to do.
91. I enjoy going to church.
92. I am an optimistic person.
93. Bunko night is a blast.
94. I use to dance ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. I loved ballet and tap the best.
95. My first job was a receptionist at a dental office.
96. When I was little, I liked to play with daddy long leg spiders, ants, and rolly polly potato bugs. Now I cannot stand insects and spiders of any kind.
97. When we had a TV in our bedroom, I would fall asleep during Without a Trace. Each time I would have nightmares. No more TV in the bedroom.
98. Amy and I with our friends would go TPing when we were teenagers. No one ever suspected us. Other people always got blamed. We were very proud of ourselves.
99. Matt and I took the teenagers TPing in Glendale. It was so fun.
100. We got caught by a cop one time, he said he would rather have the kids TPing with adults than vandalizing on their own.
101. I am happy to be done with this list!!!!
