Several Months ago Nya started talking about school. She really wanted to go to school. She also wanted a backpack so she could go to school. We searched everywhere to find a little backpack. When we finally found one, she wanted to take it everywhere. I decided to take her to storytime at the library and call that "school." She loves it. We do not make it every week, but she now knows that she has her class at school on Thursdays. She also has her church class on Sundays.
We haven't been to "school" for about 6 weeks. Yesterday Nya told me she needed to do her homework. I said, "okay." She runs out of the room and comes back a few minutes later and says, "Mommy, I can't find my homework. Will you help me find my homework please?" I was shocked. It is amazing what children learn from outside the home. I gave her a piece of paper with a large N on it and told her to practice writing N because it is the first letter in Nya. She refused to let me help her, but worked on it for about 5 minutes. No, she cannot write the letter N, but she is getting better at straight lines.

Yeah! It's about time you started one. I'm very exited for you. I absolutely love all the cute stories and the little Nya. I can't believe she wants to do and likes to do homework already. I guess that shows that she is definitely the daughter of a teacher.
Cute picture of Nya. your kitchen and new hardwood floors look great too.
Too Cute! I love Nya's hair in pigtails. It is adorable! I love that she is always talking about school.
