It is amazing what children these days have, that we never had as children. Several months ago, Nya and Sophia were playing. Suddenly I hear them saying "Cheese" "Click" "Giggle, giggle" and "my turn." I looked to see what they were doing and they had Nya's pretend cell phone, excuse me Nya's pretend camera phone. I had to laugh because cell phones did not really exist when I was little, and the first ones were HUGE compared to what we have now. Now we can play music, videos, take videos, take pictures, use MSWord/Excel, send text messages, email, browse the Internet, and probably many more things I am unaware of. Here are these children growing up with this amazing technology. Another example of the differences of technology occurred today. Nya was crying because she wanted to go to Sophia's house. We had them all weekend and they left today. That was not enough for Nya, she thinks of them as her sisters and her brother, she wanted to go home with them. I decided to check the blogs to cheer her up. We came across a picture of Katya and somehow Nya figured out how to make it large. Then Nya is trying to talk to Katya and wants Katya to sing. I tried to explain it is just a picture, but Nya was insistant that Katya could sing to her. I then realized, between the videos we have of Katya and Nya being able to video conference with Grandpa and Ana, of course she expects communication when she sees Katya on the computer. Can you imagine what life will be like for our grandchildren??Nya checking out Jethro and Staci's blog. Enlarged picture of Katya.
